N500EA |
Aircraft Development Testing for low- and
medium-speed stability and control testing, flap development, drag
investigation, systems development, and air data calibration. Also
referred to as AC100, this aircraft accumulated 55 hours of flight testing.
N500EA aircraft retired in October 2003.

N503EA |
FAA Certification testing for Mechanical Systems —
Climate Control System (CCS), landing gear, flaps, fuel system, power plant,
oxygen system, and hot-and cold-weather testing.
|
| 04/14/05 |
N502EA |
FAA Certification testing for Aerodynamics and Structures —
Ground vibration, loads, strain measurements, air data calibration (RVSM), flutter,
stability and control, stall speed, stall characteristics, cruise, climb and field
performance, noise, and flight into known icing conditions are tested.
|
| 04/21/05 |
N504EA |
FAA Certification testing for Avionic and Electrical Systems —
Electrical system, navigation and communications systems, primary flight and multi-function
displays, autopilot operation, and lighting tests are conducted.

N505EA |
Beta Test Aircraft No. 1 is used for accelerated usage
testing to ensure that Eclipse finds and addresses any function and reliability issues
before our customers encounter them.
|
| 08/24/05 |
N506EA |
Beta Test Aircraft No. 2 undergoes accelerated usage
testing to ensure function and reliability. One of these beta aircraft is used
for High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) and lightning certification tests.

Static |
FAA Certification Static Test — Tests airframe loads to the
design maximum, and in some instances, until airframe failure.
|
| |
Fatigue |
FAA Certification Fatigue Test — Airframe is subjected
to simulated flight loadings equivalent to three lifetimes of operation. The test validates
the airframe structure's resistance to in-service crack initiation and propagation
and validates structural inspection locations, intervals, and methodologies.
