Eclipse Expands Service Center Network with Additional Maintenance Facilities
Eclipse Aviation also announces partnership with Global Jet Services to provide superior maintenance training for the Eclipse 500
OSHKOSH, WI - July 27, 2006 - Today Eclipse Aviation, manufacturer of the revolutionary Eclipse 500 very light jet (VLJ), released additional information on its domestic Eclipse Service Center network locations. The company revealed that in addition to its previously announced Albuquerque, NM, Gainesville, FL and Albany, NY Factory Service Centers, which continue to be developed on schedule, it will open four additional Eclipse service locations in 2006 to support and maintain the Eclipse 500 fleet. By 2008, an Eclipse Service Center will be within a 60-minute flight of virtually all customers in the lower 48 states.
“Eclipse is dedicated to expanding access to private jet travel throughout the nation, particularly in areas that are currently under-served by commercial airlines,” said Vern Raburn, president and CEO of Eclipse Aviation. “It’s critical that our Service Center network mirrors our overall strategy, and provides the highest levels of access, convenience and flexibility required by our rapidly growing and broadly distributed customer base. We will continue to offer new customer programs and grow the Eclipse Service Center network in our quest to set a new general aviation benchmark for service excellence and superior customer experience.”
Additional Service Centers Expand Customer AccessEclipse Aviation domestic Service Centers will range from 5,000 to 40,000 square feet and will be staffed with Eclipse employees who are trained maintenance technicians utilizing Eclipse MRO systems. Eclipse plans to open and staff four additional Service Centers by the end of 2006 and several more by the end of 2007.

- Van Nuys, CA
- Bay area, CA
- Boca Raton, FL
- Chicago area
The Gainesville and Albany Factory Service Centers will be operational by Q2 and Q3 2007.
Global Jet Services to Lead Maintenance Training for Eclipse 500
Also today, Eclipse announced that Eclipse 500 maintenance training will be conducted by Global Jet Services, a respected maintenance training leader. All Eclipse 500 service center employees and Eclipse Designated Repair Technicians (EDRTs) will complete the comprehensive training course in Albuquerque, NM, which will begin with an in-depth Web-based Eclipse 500 systems and operations tutorial. Following the Web-based training, EDRTs will go through an intensive, in-person, instructor-led course that will be conducted over a five-day period. In keeping with Eclipse’s commitment to excellence, maintenance training will be geared to generating the global understanding, hands-on expertise and level of personalized service required to provide an outstanding level of support throughout Eclipse’s Service Center network.
