Eclipse Aviation Corporation Names Michael Brown Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Announcement characterizes company's determination to build world-class information systems
ALBUQUERQUE, NM - February 19, 2001 - Eclipse Aviation Corporation, manufacturer of the Eclipse 500 jet aircraft, has named Michael Brown vice president and chief information officer (CIO). Brown will lead the design and implementation of information systems and technologies key to the company's corporate strategy.

“From the development and production of the Eclipse 500 to the daily operations involved in our business, technology is at the heart of Eclipse Aviation,” said Vern Raburn, president and CEO of Eclipse Aviation. “Michael has what it takes to create the world-class information infrastructure we need to run our business.”

Brown will have responsibility for information systems company-wide with an initial focus on the creation of robust enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management architectures.

Brown comes to Eclipse Aviation with extensive executive management experience in information systems. He was previously CIO of Maintenance Warehouse, a Home Depot company. During his tenure he drove the reengineering of the IT infrastructure including hardware, networking, and ERP systems. In addition, Brown was the principal architect of a number of highly successful e-business and data warehousing initiatives for the company.

Earlier in his career Brown was president of Integrated Software Systems during which time he performed numerous major conversions and ERP installations across a wide range of industries including engineering, oil and gas, hotel, and transportation.
