Eclipse Aviation Grows to Focus on Customer Experience
With Eclipse 500 customer deliveries about to begin, Eclipse hires vice president of customer care
ORLANDO, FL - October 16, 2006 -

Today Eclipse Aviation, manufacturer of the world’s first very light jet (VLJ), announced that Kenneth McNamara has joined the executive team as vice president of customer and product support. McNamara joins Eclipse as initial customer deliveries are set to begin, and the company has 24 aircraft in various stages of production. McNamara will oversee every aspect of the Eclipse 500 customer experience, from delivery to after sales product support.

With a strong background in operations and training, McNamara most recently served as chief operating officer of Skyplus Technologies, a company that specializes in aviation operations management. Prior to that, McNamara was President and CEO of Allied Aerospace, a Virginia based aerospace company that supported major jet engine manufacturers in the development of jet engine compressors. He also gained extensive leadership experience in the aerospace and electronics industries as vice president and general manager for Rockwell Collins Passenger Systems and president of Hughes Avicom a division of Hughes Electronics. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president of two divisions of The Singer Company, a leading simulation training company. McNamara began his career as an aviator in the U.S. Navy and a professional pilot for Continental Airlines.

“As we move towards full production, Ken brings to the table a passion for aviation that will help Eclipse focus on establishing a customer experience that is unmatched in general aviation,” said Vern Raburn, president and CEO of Eclipse Aviation. “Our customers are our lifeblood, and without their continued support we would not be where we are today. Ken’s proven experience will ensure our customers always get the support and superior level of attention they deserve.”

McNamara is the third in a series of executive appointments Eclipse has made in recent weeks as it transitions from a development-focused organization to a full production company that is delivering aircraft at high rate production.
