Eclipse Aviation Corporation Invests in World-Class Infrastructure
Company employs information systems architecture capable of supporting its rapid growth
- July 23, 2001 - EAA AirVenture 2001, OSHKOSH, WI — Eclipse Aviation Corporation today announced it has successfully implemented the first stage of a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) architecture from SAP®. mySAP Financials™, mySAP Supply Chain Management™, human resources and material resource planning software solutions were installed and implemented in just 60 days.
“Comprehensive information management is essential for companies that want to compete in today’s marketplace,” said Vern Raburn, president and CEO of Eclipse Aviation. “Eclipse will be a leader in using information management to integrate all aspects of our business, not just internally but with suppliers and customers as well.”
Within the next 60 days, Eclipse Aviation will set into motion SAP solutions for the manufacturing execution systems and quality control functions of its business.
The company plans to implement the product lifecycle management, maintenance repair overhaul, customer relationship management, electronic commerce, technical publications and warehouse management systems over the next 18 months.
“Eclipse Aviation has a unique advantage because it is not constrained by the past,” said Michael Brown, Eclipse Aviation vice president and CIO. “Typically it takes years to get ERP systems in place because they must convert companies’ antiquated legacy systems and processes. By starting with a clean sheet, we have been able to expedite this process and install a state-of-the-art infrastructure in record time.”
All SAP solutions for Eclipse are being implemented by itelligence, Inc., an SAP Services Partner and one of the largest authorized SAP Certified Business Solutions (CBS) resellers in the United States.
