Eclipse Aircraft of Albuquerque, NM has closed its 2nd round of equity investment by raising $65 million. Eclipse has secured a total of $125 million to date. The new capital will be used to fund continuing design, manufacture and certification of the $837,500 6-passenger Eclipse 500 bizjet. Eclipse CEO Vern Raburn commented, “The Eclipse 500 remains on schedule, on budget and at the price and performance we guaranteed.” More than 160 orders for the Eclipse 500 have been placed to date.
