The Eclipse 500™ makes use of an extensive number of components that have been machined from single billets of aluminum.  Machined parts are lighter, stronger, have extremely high tolerances, and are made by computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery. Machined components reduce overall part count, reduce assembly time, and ensure field interchangeability when required.
