Our Board of Directors. | Harold "Red" Poling - Chairman of Eclipse. Harold Poling, former Chairman and CEO of Ford Motor Company, has over 35 years of leadership experience. As chairman of the board for Eclipse, Poling's successful innovation and leadership in the automotive industry will serve as a strong foundation for Eclipse as it establishes itself as the platform to revolutionize air transportation. Poling was named CEO of Ford Motor Company in 1984, and was elected chairman of the board in 1990. He had served on the Board of Directors since 1979, and prior to his tenure as CEO, served as chief operating officer and vice chairman. Poling's leadership and dedication to the advancement of the automotive industry has shaped Ford into the modern company it is today. Poling is well respected in management and financial circles and has received numerous awards for his luminary achievements; including the Automotive Hall of Fame's 1986 Distinguished Service Citation award presented to individuals who "have contributed significantly to the success of the automotive industry and to the communities in which they live." In May 1987, he was presented with the Leadership Award from the Engineering Society of Detroit. He was named "Man of the Year" for 1988 by Automotive Industries magazine. In addition, he was chosen as the 1991 recipient of the prestigious Horatio Alger award, received the 1993 University of Michigan Business Leadership award and was named 1993 Industry Leader of the Year by Automotive Hall of Fame. In November 1993, he was named Honorary Knight Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Sir Robin Renwick, British Ambassador to the United States. In 1993, Poling received the Albert Schweitzer Leadership award. |  | | Alfred E. Mann - Director of Eclipse. Mr. Mann is a highly successful physicist recognized around the world for successfully creating a broad range of medical devices including heart pacemakers, cochlear implants that provide hearing for thousands of formerly deaf children and tiny implantable pumps. He brings insight to the Board based on his track record of successfully translating high-technology concepts into profitable enterprises. Mr. Mann is the Chairman and CEO of MannKind Corporation, the founder, Chairman and co-CEO of Advanced Bionics Corporation, the founder and Chairman Emeritus of MiniMed, the founder and former CEO of Pacesetter Systems, the founder and former CEO of Spectrolab and the founder and former CEO of Heliotek. |  | | Kent Kresa - Director of Eclipse. Mr. Kresa is the Chairman Emeritus of Northrop Grumman Corporation and is Senior Advisor to the Aerospace and Defense group at The Carlyle Group. Mr. Kresa is credited with providing the leadership that has made Northrop Grumman one of the world's premier high-technology companies. He has had a distinguished career in both government and industry. He is an honorary fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, among other notable affiliations. He also sits on numerous boards, including CalTech's Board of Trustees, MIT's Lincoln Laboratory, and General Motors. |  | | Brian Barents - Director of Eclipse. Mr. Barents is the vice chairman of Aerion and the former President and CEO of Galaxy Aerospace. Throughout his career, Mr. Barents has served in prominent positions in the aviation and automotive industries. He was also the former Chairman of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the former President and CEO of Learjet, a former Senior VP of Cessna Aircraft Company and a former senior executive at Toyota Motor Corporation. For more than 34 years, he also had a distinguished military career, serving most notably as Brigadier General in the United States Air Force, Kansas Air National Guard and Chief of Staff at Headquarters for the Air National Guard in Topeka, Kansas. | |
