The AFB is available as optional equipment to all Eclipse 500 aircraft operating under Part 91, Part 91 Subpart K, or Part 135. The AFB is currently offered as a Class 1 flight bag system employing type A and B software applications as defined in Advisory Circular 120-76A. Future versions of the Avio Flight Bag software will provide for geo-referenced enroute and approach charts, and full connectivity with the Eclipse 500’s Avio system enabling additional in-flight functionality, including paperless cockpit.

Periodic software data updates are required to maintain current navigation charts and airport data. Data updates will be provided electronically, and require an Internet connection. International charts and airport data outside the contiguous United States are currently not available for the Avio Flight Bag.
